Providing Individual Therapy

I specialize in two main areas: working with adolescents who are struggling with ADHD, anxiety, and relationship challenges, and empowering strong, independent women who feel disconnected from their true selves.

Women

My ideal female clients are independent, driven, and highly capable women who outwardly appear successful but feel disconnected from their true selves. They often excel in their careers and relationships, yet experience a persistent sense that something is missing. Many struggle with burnout, emotional dissatisfaction, or unfulfilled potential, feeling stuck in patterns that no longer align with their values or authentic desires.

You frequently feel like you are wearing a mask—shapeshifting to meet expectations at work, in relationships, or in social settings. Despite your competence and strength, you may be navigating relationship challenges, unhealthy dynamics, people-pleasing, or career dissatisfaction. Internally, you crave clarity, emotional support, and deeper self-understanding.

Common Challenges You Might Face

  • Feeling disconnected from your authentic self

  • High-functioning anxiety or emotional burnout

  • Repeating unhealthy relationship patterns

  • Lack of fulfillment despite external success

  • Difficulty setting boundaries or expressing true needs

  • Feeling “stuck” personally or professionally

  • Experiencing increased alcohol use

  • High conflict divorce

What They Are Seeking Through Therapy

You seek therapy for self-discovery, emotional healing, and personal growth. Your primary goal is to break free from limiting patterns, reconnect with your inner truth, and cultivate a deep sense of fulfillment. You want to stop living behind a façade and start living life on your own terms—with confidence, authenticity, and alignment.

Through therapy, you want to:

  • Reconnect with your authentic identity

  • Heal past emotional wounds and relational patterns

  • Build healthy, meaningful relationships

  • Develop self-trust, confidence, and clarity

  • Align your life with their core values and desires

  • Create boundaries

The Outcome They Desire

Ultimately, you want to create a life that feels genuinely true to who you are—a life filled with joy, confidence, emotional freedom, and deeper connection with yourself and others. Therapy provides a supportive space to explore your true desires, release old patterns, and step fully into a life that feels aligned, empowered, and authentic.

Adolescents

Navigating adolescence is challenging enough without the added weight of ADHD and anxiety. As a therapist who specializes in working with adolescents, I understand how these conditions can make everyday tasks more difficult, impact friendships, create family tension, and affect self-esteem. ADHD can create struggles with focus, organization, and impulse control, while anxiety can lead to feelings of fear, worry and overwhelm that interfere with both school and social life.

Each adolescent is unique, which is why I tailor my approach to meet the specific needs and challenges of the individual. My therapeutic work combines evidence-based practices, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness techniques, with a compassionate, understanding approach to create lasting change. If possible, I work with the youth and the family in tandem to ensure great care. I bring parents in session as needed so they can get updates and be included. When doing this, I prefer the adolescence also remain present, so they have input, and maintain thier trust.

By addressing both the symptoms of ADHD and anxiety, as well as their impact on self-esteem and relationships, we can build a comprehensive toolkit that helps your teen feel capable and empowered in navigating their world. Whether it’s managing schoolwork, making meaningful friendships, or feeling confident in their abilities, together, we can help your teen achieve greater balance and happiness.

Important for Clients Age 12-17:

Under Colorado state law, if a child is age 12+, they are permitted to seek behavioral health treatment without the consent of a parent or guardian. Adolescents ages 12-17 who are voluntary seeking services are their own decision maker for behavioral health treatment and will need to complete a Release of Information for any information to be disclosed to their parent/guardian. If the adolescent client has not completed a Release of Information, we will be unable to acknowledge that they are a client of Still Waters Therapy to anyone, including parents/guardians that call in to coordinate scheduling, payments, or other requests on behalf of their child. For adolescents ages 12-17 that want to give their parent/guardian permission to access their healthcare information, this form must be signed by the client themselves, not the parent. For more information on Colorado’s law, please see C.R.S. 12-245-203.5

Under Florida statue 394.4784, when any minor age 13 years or older experiences an emotional crisis to such degree that he or she perceives the need for professional assistance, he or she shall have the right to request, consent to, and receive mental health diagnostic and evaluative services provided by a licensed mental health professional, as defined by Florida Statutes, or in a mental health facility licensed by the state.
